The Quality Assurance Officer has attended a one –day seminar on Quality Assurance. The seminar was organized by Africa Institute of Organization Development in collaboration with Peregrine Academic Services and Leadership, USA and the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs.
The event was held on 4th August, 2016 at the West Airport Hotel in Accra on the theme; Quality Assurance in Higher Education, International Accreditation and Peregrine Academic Services.
Participants invited to participate in the seminar included Directors of Quality Assurance Unit, Registrars and Heads of Business Schools from tertiary educational institutions in Ghana.
Presentations at the seminar were made by Mr. Abraham Lincoln Owusu, Head of Africa Institute of Organization Development, Mr Ato Mensah form University of Cape Coast, Mr. Richard Adjei , Deputy Executive Secretary Quality Assurance, National Accreditation Board and Mrs. Alimaa Jamiyansuren ,Director of Global Services and Marketing, Peregrine Academic Services.
The seminar briefed participants on the following
- Critical issues of concern for business schools, quality assurance dimensions and quality assurance systems in Ghana business schools.
- Why some top managers fail in business
- National Accreditation Board requirements for quality assurance
- Peregrine academic services
Participants had a Q&A session after the presentations by the speakers after which the seminar ended with presentation of certificates to participants.
