INTRODUCTION

Aims and Objectives
The aims of the programme are as follows:

  • To teach students about the techniques and skills required to become efficient and effective within the banking industry.
  • To make sure that students practice both local and international laws affecting financial institutions and its operations.
  • To conduct training sessions for students with industry professionals and leaders to enable the students tap the experiences and knowledge of these professionals.
  • To educate students on proper financial reporting and database management systems and analysis to enable them for perfect their work.

The objectives of the programme are:

 

  • To train students to acquire skills that will enable them to work in any financial institution that they find themselves.
  • To imbue in students critical thinking and problem solving skills to enable them make financial decisions and solve financial problems.
  • To equip students with skills that enable them do financial forecasting without errors.
  • To prepare students to become financial advisors or financial consultants with great impact on the economy.

On completion of the programme, graduates should be able to:

 

  • Demonstrate understanding of current issues and trends in banking operations in today’s global work market.
  • Plan, implement and evaluate financial issues in the world market.
