Credit system is a systematic way of describing an educational program by allotting specific time to a particular subject. This helps the student to understand the effort he has to put in, to successfully complete a course. Each credit amounts to 10 hours of Learning activities i.e., Lectures, lab sessions, etc.
For example a course on Advanved Office Productivity Tools for 3 Credits constitute a total of 30 hours of lectures plus lab.
Every program consists of multiple courses with different credits based upon the weightage which determines the number of hours of lectures / labs in that course.
For details about credits for a program, refer to program handbook available with the respective departments.
