Scholarships
at Bluecrest
BlueCrest College is determined to provide support to the students who need and deserve financial aids. That's why every year at BlueCrest we award several scholarships to the students. All scholarships are awarded as a percentage reduction in the total fee as mentioned below. As BlueCrest student, there is a possibility that you can be awarded scholarships to get high-quality learning, a hallmark of the BlueCrest, and you can complete a program by paying a fraction of the total fee or almost no fee.
Scholarships for New Students
- Category A
All the scholarships are applicable only for the Degree programs
for the students joining from SP 2021. The scholarship recipients
have to maintain required CGPA and conditions as per the policy
of continuation of scholarships as mentioned in the terms section.
STRATEGIC/SOCIALLY RESPONSIBLE SCHOLARSHIPS
i. WOMEN IN IT SCHOLARSHIP
We found the need to increase the number of women with expertise in Information Technology in the region. This lead to the launching of this scholarship package which offers a 40% reduction in the total first-year fees of all women admitted for the Bachelor Degree program (BSc. Information Technology), and a 20% discount for all women admitted to our Master’s in Information Technology (MSc. IT) program.
ii. NEED-BASED SCHOLARSHIP
A need-based scholarship is for students from financially weak
families and communities. The range of scholarship ranges from
10% to a maximum of 50% of the total first-year fee. A proper set
of legal and valid documents have to be submitted by the
applicants to the registrar. Management is always free to
investigate more about the eligibility of the candidate for the
scholarship. Just being a member of a particular community does
not automatically qualify a candidate for this scholarship.
SCHOLASTIC SCHOLARSHIPS
The scholarship is based on the grades/marks obtained by the student in the qualifying examinations or tests like WASSCE in SHS etc.
i. NCE-OES SCHOLARSHIPS
Based on the results of the National Competitive Examinations
(NCE) conducted by the BlueCrest College in various Schools in
the country between February to August every year. Similarly, an
online test is also conducted for those who could not appear for
NCE in the Schools. It is called Online Entrance Exam
Scholarships. (OES). Students can get a 40% to 100% reduction in
the total first-year fee based on the results of NCE/OES.
ii. MERIT BASED SCHOLARSHIPS
Based on the SHS results, students can get a 25 to 100%
reduction in the total fee of the first year.
iii. PRESIDENTIAL/RECTORAL SCHOLARSHIPS
The scholarship is based on the recommendations from the
partnered institutions, government bodies, NGOs or corporate
organizations. Besides, BCC management will also identify
potential students who have already achieved some success in a
field of interest to BCC and offer scholarships to them. It is a
100% reduction in the first year total fee. The recipients have to
contribute regularly to the College/Schools as ambassadors by
helping BCC in promotions, marketing, branding and similar
activities in regular consultation with the assigned staff member
of the College to continue receiving the scholarships. Regular
reports of such activities may be needed by the management
from the recipients and a satisfactory level of contribution is must
to continue the scholarship.
Scholarships for Existing Students
- Category B
These scholarships are applicable for year 2 onwards. All students
can apply for these scholarships based on the CGPA obtained in
the program every year. A minimum of 3.4 out of 4 CGPA is
required to obtain a reduction of 25 to 100% of the total annual
fee. Other conditions may also apply like no misconducts, no
backlogs, no issues found, and in some cases, interviews are also
conducted. Every year many BlueCrest college students receive
these scholarships.
