Academic Year 2020
This year 2020, the Career Office has added a new trend for our activities. Introducing the "Career Development Icon". The "Career Development Icon" is an intern who has proven himself to be exceptionally good and creative at the workplace. He or she is vetted based on only employers evaluations and appreciations towards their effort at the workplace. He or she would be selected as the face of our internship training for the year. This year’s selection was taken from one of our prestigious organisations, VTOMPAY. The selected student for the “Career Development Icon” is Clifford Adjei. A student who completed top of his class in B.Sc. in Information Technology.
Company Profile
Vtompay Company Limited is an IT solution company that has been in the payment system business since 2018. We have been developing systems and processes over the years to cater for issues and problems encountered with payments in Ghana.
Our mission is to connect the dot coms of secured technologies where customers can electronically manage their funds spent, and authorization of transactions that permeates all the payments system. Not forgetting our vision to be Ghana’s first leading electronic payment platform by enhancing customers' buying experience with our reliable QR codes and PVC Cards in order to transform the value chain in the general market, transport and oil and gas sector to maximize profit for investors.
As a ready business, our platform is deployed on the back of QR code system that utilizes a card, an app and a Point of Sales (POS) device that can be assimilated with other existing payment options such as MasterCard, Visa cards and mobile money. End users can make payments with the Vtompay app, the card or the USSD code (*555#) with no transactional charges. Businesses and merchants on the other hand receive payments through the Vtompay app on our POS, or QR Code sticker making our platform easy and convenient for all and sundry.
We believe the cashless society era in Ghana and sub-Saharan Africa is now and no one must be left behind. Download the Vtompay app on AppStore or Play Store, link your card for free from our Agents throughout the country. Businesses and merchants can get in touch on www.vtompay.com and @vtompay on all social media handles for a full deployment of our platform for a swift, safe and convenient collection of funds.

Job Position:I.T Support Officer
Vtompay Company Limited
Clifford Adeji’s comment;
The Career Office facilitated an internship opportunity for me at Vtompay Company Ltd in April, 2020. I worked as a Marketing officer. I was later evaluated on my performance and transferred to the I.T department as the I.T Support Officer. My new position engulfs the responsibilities of system monitoring and configurations, PVC card printing, social media monitoring and website development.
I find the place conducive and helpful as far as my field of study is concerned since my position in the company suits my educational background.
I have been able to build up on my communication skills, tuning myself to the policies that govern the working environment at the job premise, completing tasks and responsibilities within an agreed time frame and developing good staff relationships.
I plan on becoming an expert in mobile app and website development and becoming one of the best employees the company has had.

Immediate Supervisor to Clifford Adjei
Supervisor’s comment;
It is our pleasure and honor to endorse Master Clifford Adjei as the “Career Development Icon” for the 2020 graduating class of Blue Crest College. We have worked with him for the past 3 months as the IT Support Officer at Vtompay Company Limited, where he’s used his excellent skills in IT to deliver spectacular results.
As IT Support Officer, Clifford constantly demonstrated an extensive knowledge of IT techniques in terms networking and configuring and printing of PVC QR smart Card for Vtompay. He is intelligent, hardworking and excels under pressure!
Clifford’s extraordinary focus and calculated way of thinking always makes him a stand-out member of our team, even as an intern. Whenever there are problems or flaws in the IT Section, he showcases his superb analytical qualities to quickly identify the issue and deal with it before it can become too serious. We are confident Clifford has come this far owing to the training acquired from a people driven educational institute like Blue Crest College.
We have no doubt he will continue to make a strong addition to our team and elsewhere. It’s our prayer he continues to find the energy and maturity he exhibits in his whole working career.
